What is Santa vs Grinch?

In this Christmas themed T1 Airsoft event where players team up with either Santa or The Grinch in a fun holiday event where a portion of proceeds will go to local food banks or toys for tots.

The Story

Red or Green Fighting Machine

Santa’s supply convoy is ambushed near North Ridge, and the Grinch’s forces scatter stolen gift crates across the battlefield. Santa rallies his Holiday Guard to recover the crates and restore order before chaos spreads through the Winter Outpost.

Meanwhile, the Grinch’s team sets up hidden camps, sabotages objectives, and works to power up a de-cheer device capable of draining all festive magic from the area. If activated, Santa’s strength fades and the Grinch gains full control of the holiday.

Both sides race to complete their goals—Santa’s team recovering crates and shutting down the device, the Grinch’s team defending sabotage points and keeping the machine online. Victory determines whether Christmas spirit triumphs or the Grinch’s mischief takes over North Ridge.

Ho Ho Oh No!

How to win...

There are three primary ways of winning Voodoo Mask.

  • CONTROL SNOWBALL AMMO DEPOTS:  Scattered across the battlefield are Snowball Ammo Depots—frost-covered caches packed with enchanted winter munitions. Whoever controls these stations gains a steady stream of resupply, tipping the balance of the fight

  • RECOVER PRESENTS:  Brightly wrapped but dangerously misplaced, Santa’s stolen presents now lie hidden throughout the combat zone. Each crate contains vital holiday gear, magical tools, or morale-boosting gifts. Recover them before the enemy does.

  • LOCATE NAUGHTY OR NICE LIST NAMES:  Pages from the legendary Naughty or Nice List have been torn out and scattered, carrying the fate of every child in the world. Finding these names is critical; in the wrong hands, they could be rewritten or corrupted. Search the field and secure each page.

Battleground Map

Buildings are marked with numbers in blocks, such as the 100 block, 200 block, etc. Areas in red are off limits. The map may be used with MGRS grid coordinates but also as a simple Alpha-Numeric grid system for ease of use.

Bleed-Out

When a normal participant is hit they may return back to their HQ immediately or stay where they are for however long they want. This allows them to wait for medics or simply head back whenever they feel like it.

However, once a player decides to "die" and return to HQ, they may not change their mind, receive Buddy Aid, or be reset by a Medic. They may only return to HQ at this point.

Buddy Aid

All participants should have between 3 bandages on their person.

When a participant is hit and becomes a "dead-man", they may be revived by any other still alive participant. The alive participant will take one of the dead-man's bandages and securely tie it around the dead-man's arm. Once finished, the dead-man becomes alive again and is back in the game.

Every participant may receive buddy aid once.

In order to receive additional buddy aids you must be wearing body armor.

Bandages may only be removed at your HQ or by a Medic.

If you are hit again and have reached the maximum number of Buddy Aids you can receive, you must respawn at your HQ.

Body Armor

All participants may receive Buddy Aid once. For every piece of armor you are wearing, you gain an additional buddy aid. Helmets and Plate Carriers are the only things that count as body armor. Chest rigs do not count as body armor.

If a player is wearing ONE piece of body armor (either a Helmet OR Plate Carrier), then they may receive Buddy Aid twice before having to respawn at their HQ.

If a player is wearing TWO pieces of body armor (both a Helmet AND Plate Carrer), then they may receive Buddy Aid three times before having to respawn at their HQ.

Medics

Medics are special participants who may "reset" a player's Buddy Aid count by removing their bandages.

To do this, Medics have a backpack full of water bottles. When they arrive at a participant with bandages they will give them a water bottle. The bandaged player will then drink the whole water bottle. Once the water bottle is finished, he will return the empty water bottle to the medic (don't litter!). Once the Medic has the empty water bottle they will remove any bandages on the participant.

Once a player has all their bandages removed they are essentially "reset" and may receive Buddy Aid again normally.

Medics can reset both alive and dead players.

Engineers

Engineers are special participants who may use rolls of orange tape to signify certain things during the course of the game.

Engineers can 'destroy' rebel equipment left out by rebel players by placing orange tape on them. Any items, such as body armor, chest rigs, airsoft guns, ammunition, or anything else that has orange tape placed on it is considered to have been destroyed by explosives. This tape can only be removed at respawns.

Other objectives given by staff may require engineers to use orange tape to signify detruction of objectives as well.
